"Fortuna" and "Cherhill" are both very safe breeding and backgrounding properties located approximately 40 kilometers north of Aramac in Central Western Queensland. Fortuna is ideally positioned with good access to saleyards at Blackall, Emerald and Roma. The "Fortuna Aggregation" has a reputation for producing high quality weaner cattle.
• The aggregation has an estimated carrying capacity of 1200 breeders plus progeny.
• The country comprises of typical desert uplands country of Yellow Jacket, Ironbark, Box, Gidgee, interspersed with creek flats and jump ups.
• Main grasses include Buffel, Desert Mitchell, Stylos, soft Spinifex and edible shrubs.
• There are seven sub artesian bores these are reticulated around using three pressure pumps on mains power and 6 submersible pumps on on mains power. There is one solar submersible pump, 1 solar transfer pump.
• 30 tanks and 70 troughs.
• 12 dams.
• There are nine sheds on the aggregation including two shearing sheds, a six stand and a two stand. There is a set of shearer quarters on "Fortuna" as well.
• There are three sets of cattle yards that are steel with vet crushes and scales.
